Tetralin has great dissolving property and can dissolve grease, linoxyn, rubber and wax, asphalt, phenolic resin, naphthalene and iodine. Tetralin is widely used in coating, oil paint, printing ink and paper making fields.
Oil Paint
Tetralin can dissolve rosin, congo gum, alkyd resin, coumarone resin and modified formaldehyde resin. Tetralin improves the flowability, gloss and smoothness of oil paints. The great compatibility of tetralin and organics enhances the stickiness between two layers of paints.
Cemented Carbide
Tetralin is used as forming agent to improve the one-step formation rate of cemented carbide.
Drying Agent
Tetralin is used as drying agent due to its auto-oxidation property.
High Boiling Point Solvent
Tetralin is the ideal high boiling point solvent due to its small evaporation capacity in high temperature and is widely used in many industries.
